We organize social events

• Adult events:  Monthly Mom’s Night Outs and monthly Dad’s Night Outs, often at a local bar or restaurant but can also be an activity like going bowling, crafting, wine tasting, receiving nail treatments, or enjoying live music. 

• Kid events: Child-focused events that include animal farm visit, music class, apple picking, art class, pumpkin patch visit, cooking class, fire station visit, gymnastics class, airport visit, swimming, cooking class, dance classes, and more. 

• Family events: We hold monthly Member Socials where the current and prospective members and their families are invited to socialize in a large playdate format with Petaluma Mothers' Club Board members in attendance to facilitate connections and answer questions. 

• Large events: We hold 2-3 large (50+ person) events per year for our different audiences. These vary depending on interests and conditions, but have included dress-up brunches (adult-focused), massive egg hunts in the Spring (child-focused), and summer park picnics with lots of performers to keep kids entertained while adults can connect (family-focused).  

We provide educational and wellness opportunities

We offer at least one educational or wellness event per quarter for caregivers. Education topics include parenting/discipline approaches, emergency preparedness, CPR training, and child nutrition. Wellness classes include mediation, pelvic floor health, yoga, aqua aerobics, and other forms of exercise.

We engage in community service

We organize several service events or drives per year. These include park clean-ups, tree planting, diaper donation drives, back-to-school donation drives, crafting cards for seniors, and dine and donate events to support local organizations that support parents and families. 

We offer member-only resources

• Connect with others through our members-only Facebook groups. Each group is divided by child birth year and typically has about 200 members who discuss everything from choosing the right daycare to feeding strategies to coping with the emotional challenges of being a new parent. • We offer several exclusive guides, including a Preschool Guide, Public Elementary School Guide, a list of Member-owned businesses, child activities, Summer camp guide, Family-friendly wineries guide, and more in the works! 
• Discount Program for PMC Members: members receive discounts at many local Petaluma businesses listed on our website.
  

• One of the most popular benefits of membership is our private Buy/Sell Trade Facebook group. Many members state the cost savings from this exclusive group pays for their membership! Looking for a bargain? Has the baby outgrown that perfectly good high chair? Check out our classifieds where members find and give great deals every day. Members may also advertise their business services here on the first Tuesday of every month.
