Celebrate the Lunar New Year with us on Saturday February 28th at the Kenilworth Teen Center! Join the community for a vibrant morning honoring Asian heritage and Lunar New Year traditions. Experience the excitement of traditional lion dancers, bringing energy, luck, and prosperity to the celebration. The performance starts at 10:30am.
2026 is the Year of the Horse, symbolizing strength, freedom, and new beginnings. Guests are encouraged to wear red—a color associated with good fortune and joy—to help welcome the new year in festive style.
Plus, take part in a storytime and book swap featuring stories that highlight Asian cultures, heritage, and Lunar New Year themes. Please bring a book to share and discover a new favorite to take home. We will also have some small crafts for the littles and light snacks. This event is a joyful opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate together through culture, storytelling, and tradition.
