Come explore the Petaluma Wildlife & Natural Science Museum, a unique, student-run museum where kids can enjoy hands-on, educational experiences with real live animals and incredible natural history exhibits!

During the field trip, we will:

  • Meet live animal ambassadors such as snakes, lizards, tortoises, and chinchillas — learning about how they live, what they eat, and how they survive in their habitats.
  • See fascinating taxidermy displays of animals from around the world — from North American wildlife like bears and coyotes to species from Africa and Asia preserved in lifelike dioramas.
  • Explore natural science artifacts and fossils, discovering how animals have adapted over time and how scientists study the natural world
  • Learn from trained high school docents who will share cool conservation stories, fun facts, and answers to curious questions.
Be there by 10:45 AM and the guided tour will begin promptly at 11:00 AM! Admission is $5 per person (children 4 and under are free) and is paid directly to the museum.
