Join us for a park clean up! We invite volunteers of all ages to help keep our parks clean. We will have a short safety talk before our pick up begins. After picking up trash together we will have a park playdate. The PMC will provide trash bags and some light snacks.

The 32nd Annual Kids Day Festival and Parade is Saturday, July 12, 2025. This year's theme is "Dino-Might Cotati!" so bring the whole family down to this fun and exciting event! Costumes encouraged! The parade starts at 10:00 AM at the Cotati City Hall. Folks will wind their way through downtown Cotati to La Plaza Park where parade judges and the festival await.

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Parade (line up at City Hall at 9:00am)

Every other month, we host a member social for current and prospective PMC members. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and kids, explore a cool spot in Petaluma, and get insights into the programs that the PMC offers.
Mostly it's about connecting with other families, so please feel free to bring your partners and kids.

Whether you're a current client of Karen at Fermata Births or still building your birth support team: she’d love for you to join next weekend to meet with some other pregnant folks! You’ll spend an hour together on Sunday morning, July 13th, at Wickersham Park.
These Bumping Along meet ups are a free opportunity for expecting people in our area to connect, and enjoy coffee/tea and pastries, good conversation, and a little walk if the weather (or energy, let's be real) allows.

Join the PMC at Mastery of Sports for a free gymnastics class for the littlest athletes! The "Me and My Shadow class" celebrates the joy of learning, movement, and growth! This special parent-participation class is designed for young children and their caregivers, and is all about building confidence, coordination, strength, and motor skills in a fun, supportive environment.
Through guided activities and playful exploration, your child will not only improve physical abilities but also develop social and listening skills alongside other little learners.
Come join us for an uplifting morning of movement, connection, and discovery—perfect for budding gymnasts and their biggest fans (you!).
Please Note: This is a Parent-Participation class.
Join the PMC at Mastery of Sports for a free gymnastics class for the 3-5 year olds! Preschoolers are encouraged to explore and learn new physical skills on various gymnastics apparatus and will be introduced to fundamental tumbling techniques.
Your child will develop coordination, strength, and balance. Beyond physical development, youngsters will also gain invaluable life skills. As they participate in our classes, they will build self-confidence, enhance their listening skills, and learn important social lessons such as taking turns and being considerate of others.
Please Note: Parent-Participation is required for 3-4 year olds but not for 5 year olds.
Join us for a free Outdoor Mat Pilates class with Club Pilates at Lucchesi Park on Wednesday, July 16th at 6pm! This is a 50 minute full-body workout class that will focus on core strength, balance, and lower body conditioning—all set in the beauty of the outdoors. Please bring water and a yoga mat, and get ready to move, breathe, and reset. Enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments after class, and don’t miss your chance to enter our raffle for a free month of unlimited Pilates!

As a parent or caregiver, being prepared for a medical emergency is one of the most important things you can do. This one-hour, hands-on class is designed specifically to teach CPR and emergency response techniques for infants and children.
In this focused session, you’ll learn how to:
Recognize signs of a medical emergency in babies and young children
Perform child and infant CPR, including chest compressions and rescue breathing
Respond effectively to choking incidents
Use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) in pediatric emergencies
You'll practice these life-saving techniques on a child and infant mannequin and become familiar with real AED equipment. We’ll also leave time at the end for Q&A so you can get clarity on any concerns.
Cost for PMC Members:
$35 – Class only
$50 – Class + a 2-year American Heart Association certification and a take-home manual

Please join our free virtual event on speech and language development covering ages 0 to 5. This event will be on Saturday, August 9th at 9am.
A licensed speech language pathologist will inform participants about speech and language developmental milestones for ages 0-5 years old as well as tips and strategies for helping your child meet those milestones. Other topics will include traits of autism spectrum disorder, how to seek help if you have concerns about your child’s development, and bilingual language development myths and facts.
Our speaker is a licensed speech language pathologist, Katie Baumbach M.S. CCC-SLP, who works at a local private practice, Speech and Language Services of Marin-Sonoma. She’s a PMC member in the 2021 and 2025 playgroups.

Their mission is to connect families with local, nutritious food. Set among the rolling hills across from Helen Putnam Regional Park, Rusty Hinges’ rustic barns and glistening ponds invite guests of all ages to unplug and be transported to a slower pace of life.
Let's learn about the animals they raise, their on-site and online market, and the 'Real Meal' bundle program they've created to makes it easy to put locally-sourced, healthy dinners on the table.

Join us for a free X Core Pilates Reformer class at their new downtown studio! This class is designed to strengthen, tone, and align your body through dynamic movements on the reformer. In this low-impact workout, you will strengthen your core, sculpt your muscles, and condition your whole body. Whether you’re new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, this class will challenge your core, improve your posture, and leave you feeling strong and centered.

Community in the early weeks and months with a new baby is essential! Join us for an open, supportive session where we talk about changing identities, relationships, and how to get through the day (and night) with little ones led by perinatal therapist Kylie Hempy, LMFT #151283, PMH-C. Kylie is a PMC mama of three and she's taken her personal experiences and worked with countless new moms and couples using evidence-based tools to help families survive a season that can feel impossible.
This event is open to mamas with babies six months or younger. Coffee will be provided!

Kick off fall with a nature-themed scavenger hunt designed for kids and families. Meet us at the park near the main gate of Helen Putnam Park between 10:00 and 11:00 AM to pick up your scavenger hunt page and instructions.
You'll search for simple, nature-based items like colorful leaves, rocks, and more—at your own pace and on the path of your choice. Whether you explore for five minutes or over an hour, this “choose your own adventure” activity is perfect for all ages. After the hunt, return to the meeting spot by noon to claim a small prize! Stay and enjoy light snacks provided by the club, and feel free to relax or play at the park.
Helpful Information:
This event takes place in a Sonoma County Regional Park. A valid Regional Parks pass or $7 per vehicle parking fee is required.
Trails range from paved to unpaved. Some are stroller-friendly, while others may be uneven or hilly. Feel free to choose a route that suits your family best.
There’s no time limit—just enjoy nature and make it your own adventure!
